Wilson Elementary School Office Building

Our Community Service Projects

Members of the Warrior Nation are committed to assisting individuals and charitable organizations throughout our community. Guided by the “Golden Rule,” both students and staff are active participants in positive community involvement.

Warriors Working to Keep America Beautiful

Using the mission of Keep America Beautiful to serve as our guidepost, members of the Warrior Nation take responsibility for improving their community’s environment. Led by Student Body Council and supported by our PTO, Wilson School hosts two recycling days in order to further educate members of our school community in the area of recycling and greater care for our environment.

Wilson Farmer's Market

Wilson Elementary working with Foodlink, Altura, and UCCE Nutrition Education hosts a farmer's market the first Thursday of every month. This is an opportunity for students to learn about how to keep their bodies healthy and try new foods. Every student is given a bag of produce to take home and all members of the Warrior Nation are invited to join us.

Tulare Police Department Toys for Tots

During the month of December, students and staff can drop off new, unwrapped toys in the office. The office has a bin for collection and the Tulare Police Department picks up all donations. All toy donations go to needy families in the area for Christmas gifts.

Lighthouse Rescue Mission Coins for Caring

Wilson School annually participates in a donation drive to collect change from students and families to support the ongoing efforts of the Lighthouse Rescue Mission in Tulare. American Thunder Toy Run – Working in collaboration with Tulare merchant Mr. Rick Allison, members of the Wilson staff collect toys to be distributed to children throughout the City of Tulare in December.

United for Good

Wilson has teamed up with TCSD schools throughout Tulare to support Heroes Play Games. Heroes Play Games hosts an annual 24-hour gaming marathon and fundraising streams to support Valley Children's Hospital, rallying fellow gamers and sponsors. With unwavering dedication, they alleviate the burdens of illness for young patients and their families, harnessing the transformative power of gaming to make a difference in healthcare for children. Through their efforts, Heroes Play Games demonstrates that gaming can be a force for positive change in the world. Join us in supporting such an amazing organization by purchasing your 24-25 UFG shirt we wear every Wednesday to show that we are United For Good!
